Hello everyone! It’s me, Sarah, and today I’m going to teach you how to make the bestest, fluffiest pancakes in the whole wide world! My mom helps me, but I do most of the work. You should probably have a grown-up help you too, so you don't make a big mess.
First, you need to get all your stuff ready. We use a big bowl, a whisk, and a measuring cup. And you need the food! You need flour, and sugar, and baking powder, and salt. My mom says those are the dry things. And you need milk, and an egg, and oil. Those are the wet things. It's like a science experiment!
My mom helps me with the measuring. We put one big cup of flour in the bowl. Then a little spoon of sugar, a little spoon of baking powder, and a tiny little pinch of salt. My mom says the salt makes the sweet things taste better. It's magic! You get to use the whisk to mix all the dry stuff together. It's super fun.
Next, you make a little hole in the middle of the flour, like a volcano. This is where you put the wet things. You pour in the milk, and crack the egg (my mom still helps me so I don’t get shells in it!), and pour in a little bit of oil. Then you mix it all up with the whisk. Don't mix too much! My mom says that makes them yucky. Just mix until it looks like a big lumpy puddle.
Then you get to put the batter on the hot pan! This part is for grown-ups. My dad helps with this so I don't get burned. He uses a big spoon to put circle puddles on the pan. When you see little tiny bubbles on top, it’s time to flip! It's super cool to watch them get all golden and puffy.
When they are all done, you can stack them up and put yummy stuff on top. I like a lot of maple syrup and sometimes sprinkles! They are so so yummy. You should try making them! It's so much fun! Bye for now!
